Integra has partnered with both Creative Strategies’ and ALMSA to develop eMAR interfaces.
eMAR is a point-of-care process that utilizes bar code reading technology to monitor the bedside administration of medications. It is used to ensure patient safety and reduce medication administration error.
The interfaces will provide users with much higher levels of communication allowing for seamless integration of both systems into the pharmacy’s workflow. This will enable DocuTrack to better route information as well as provide mechanisms that allow a direct integration to DocuTrack from within the eMAR applications themselves.
“The growing necessity for our customers to provide eMAR solutions encouraged Integra to partner with both Creative Strategies and ALMSA,” said Louie Foster, Integra’s Director of Product Development. “The interfaces resulting from this collaboration will provide the foundation to further streamline pharmacy operations by reducing fax dependency and increasing DocuTrack’s ability to automatically triage and file documents.”
“ALMSA is very excited to work with Integra to create this state-of-the-art document interface” said Bill Southerland, President and CEO of ALMSA. “The integration of our two market leading solutions will allow the communities we serve to drive incremental revenue while lowering operating costs, a win-win in today’s economy.”
“We are very excited about this collaboration and the benefits it can offer the medical industry,” said John Carroll, President of Creative Strategies. “This is the next step in moving forward towards the total electronic health record and allows us to help our Pharmacy partners to get the information they need more accurately and efficiently.”
