DeliveryTrack interface to Rx30 in preliminary stages
Integra's DeliveryTrack Product Management team has begun initial discussions with Rx30 Pharmacy System to create an interface that will tightly align the two systems.
DeliveryTrack is currently interfaced to 10 pharmacy information systems and we are consistently working to provide even more functionality to our current and potential customers.
The Rx30 Pharmacy System provides Prescription Filling, Nursing Home, Consulting, Accounts Receivable, Workflow Management, Signature Capture, IV processing, Compounding, Integrated POS Solutions and vendor interfaces to provide you a total turnkey dispensing solution.
Integra Seminar hosts 63 pharmacies
The Third Annual Integra User Seminar was very successful with over 130 attendees from 63 pharmacies, 8 exhibiting vendors and 9 staff members in attendance. With this growth, Integra will be looking at 200 to 300 people in 2011.
Our staff was a bit overwhelmed with the growth in numbers as attendance nearly doubled since 2009. We countered by sending 6 more staff members to aid in training and organization. Feedback from the Seminar was very positive overall, though we have many changes in mind for next year to both make it a smoother experience for attendees in 2010 and provide fresh, new information every year.
We had 8 attending vendors including QS/1 PrimeCare, RNA Helix Pharmacy System, Softwriters FrameworkLTC, Manchac Technologies DOSIS L60, MED-PASS, MedCall, ALMSA and Integra’s DeliveryTrack sales team. Attendees included owners, directors, pharmacy management and supervisory staff, data entry, I.T. and billing officers from the 63 attending pharmacies.

Additional fields added to FrameworkLTC interface
Working with Integra Product Management, FrameworkLTC has recently added additional fields to the DocuTrack interface. This allows you to fill in more data on your forms as well as include custom fields (e.g. most clients should be able to fully fill-in a CII Refill Request form).
Integra and QuickMAR discuss DocuTrack Interface
Integra, Inc. has begun preliminary discussions with QuickMAR to create an interface between DocuTrack and QuickMAR.
QuickMAR is an electronic medication management system. It was originally developed in 2003 as an internal application in assisted living facilities to simplify the medication management and administration process. As it proved to dramatically improve accuracy and efficiency of the med pass process, it was finally launched as a commercial product in 2007. Today, QuickMAR customers report a 30-50% improvement in efficiency and greater accuracy in med passes, and better record keeping, resulting in better state surveys.
Integra already has interfaces in place with various other eMAR products including Assisted Living Management Services of America (ALMSA) and Creative Strategies' Accu-flo system.
Integra will announce and release the QuickMAR interface upon completion in 2010.
User Seminar attendee count doubles in 2010
The Annual Integra User Seminar has more than doubled in size from last year, 2009. 125 DocuTrack and DeliveryTrack customers have signed up for the two-day course this coming February in Dallas/Fort Worth, TX. Classes will include best practices, feature utilization, one-on-one personal consultation sessions, IT troubleshooting, Pharmacy Information System breakout sessions, new user classes and many others.
Seven vendor partners are exhibiting at the Seminar including:
- QS/1
- RNA Pharmacy Solutions
- Softwriters/FrameworkLTC
- ALMSA
- Med-Pass, Inc.
- MedCall LLC
- Manchac Technologies, DOSIS
The Seminar will be held on February 17 & 18, 2010 at the American Airlines Training and Conference Center in Dallas/Fort Worth, TX.
Integra creates DocuTrack interface to DOSIS L60
Integra, Inc. has partnered with Manchac Technologies to synchronize barcode technologies between Integra’s industry leading workflow and document management solution, DocuTrack, and Manchac’s prescription dispensing robot, DOSIS L60.
This synchronization provides DocuTrack/DOSIS customers the ability to read barcodes created by DOSIS and have those automatically associated when they are faxed or scanned back into the pharmacy. At this point they can be batch submitted saving time on order entry.
DocuTrack users process 2 million new documents per week
Based on data collected from customer servers we found Docutrack pharmacies have processed over 160 million documents to-date, with over two million new documents per week and roughly four documents processed per second, 24X7.
Integra's customer base consists of roughly 300 pharmacies from Long Term Care, Specialty Pharmacy, HME Pharmacy, Retail and mail order.
Integra's CEO addresses Pharmacy Delivery Technology in ComputerTalk
Over the years the level of pharmacy technology and associated automation has advanced considerably – as an example, it is now common to see automated dispensing machines and other cutting-edge systems in use at your corner retail pharmacy.
Despite these recent advancements, one area that has received little attention over the years is the process whereby pharmaceuticals and related products are delivered to the healthcare provider or customer. For those pharmacies that provide delivery, the costs associated with this process can account for 4 to 8% of their gross revenue – a significant amount by any measure.
The lack of delivery management automation represents a significant deficiency in the business processes of many pharmacies. This can sometimes result in a cascading series of problems which can take considerable time and resources to remedy.
The good news is that various solutions to this problem exist and have been in use for years both inside and outside this industry. The end result usually involves the deployment of a wireless handheld solution interfaced to the pharmacy management system which is used to track and manage the entire delivery process.

ASCP Conference excellent platform for vendor discussions
The Integra staff attended the American Society of Consultant Pharmacists Annual Meeting last week in Aneheim, CA. The product management team was able to meet one-on-one with various vendor partners to discuss ways to enhance DocuTrack and DeliveryTrack through improved interface functionality, additional features and future integration.
Integra's Director of Product Management, Louie Foster, gives us the highights of these meetings below:
- We are working with RNA to take the interface to new levels of functionality.
- We had a chance to talk about future interface directions with QS/1 and are very excited by the opportunities.
- We spoke with FrameworkLTC about DeliveryTrack interface support and future interface directions with DocuTrack.
- We spoke with DOSIS about interfacing their barcodes to DocuTrack.
- We spoke with ALMSA about growing the capabilities of the current eMAR interface with DocuTrack and possible DeliveryTrack integration.
- We were able to cover current interface functionality with Accu-flo.
Though these are just preliminary discussions, we can see how these tradeshows allow us to connect with vendor partners in order to improve our products to meet the needs of our customers and thrive in the healthcare market.
Integra Customer Dinner at ASCP well attended
Integra hosted a customer dinner event for current and potential customers during ASCP this last Wednesday, 11/18. Over 60 people attended the event enjoying dinner and a chance to speak with other DocuTrack and DeliveryTrack users.
Integra's sales staff as well as Product Managers, Raymond van Rooyen and Louie Foster, and Integra's CEO, Kevin Welch, were there to meet with people and answer any questions about Integra products or the company.
"We host our Annual Customer Dinner during ASCP Annual as many of our customers attend ASCP each year making it more convenient for them," says Integra Marketing Manager, Kirsten Koci. "It is an excellent opportunity for our staff, current customers, potential customers and vendors to interact in an informal, enjoyable setting. This year was very well attended and people seemed to greatly enjoy the evening."
Integra demos DeliveryTrack at CPR+ User Conference
The Integra booth was busy this weekend at the CPR+ Conference in Albuquerque. Many CPR+ Users had the opportunity to meet with members of the Integra Sales Team and learn more about DocuTrack and DeliveryTrack; with a special interest in DeliveryTrack.
Most of those that stopped by were Infusion Pharmacies. CPR+ is the leading Infusion Pharmacy and HME software developer, and all of their customers provide delivery services for their clients. The interest in DeliveryTrack was strong due the functionality of DeliveryTrack, especially the ability to track drivers (providing accountability for drivers and to answer questions about when a driver might arrive at the clients location), optimize their routes, scan bar coded prescriptions, and collect an electronic signature upon delivery.
Electronic Signature Capture provides a digital signature that assists with audits and the functionality is similar to that of the POS, Point-of-Sale systems utilized for the in-store pickups. These are all areas of concern for any pharmacy today and the need for technology solutions for all areas of pharmacy continues to grow.
We are currently in discussion with the Owners of CPR+ to develop and interface between CPR+ and DeliveryTrack. Co-Owners Jeff Johnston and Stuart Crane viewed a demonstration of DeliveryTrack during the conference and agreed that this would be a great application to interface with CPR+ and future discussion has already been scheduled.
This was Integra's first year attending this show and we look forward to next year.
