Carson City, NV—May 8, 2008 – Integra, Inc. and industry partner RNA Health Information Systems have completed a greatly enhanced interface between DocuTrack, Integra’s leading workflow and document management system, and RNA’s Helix Pharmacy Management System.
RNA was the first pharmacy information system supported by DocuTrack. During the past five years the interface has grown to include features like refill submission and delivery manifest processing. The previous interface utilized screen scraping technologies which, to this point, have had limited server to server functionality.
The new enhancements move beyond what is capable in a screen scraping interface by increasing the functionality between the applications as well as moving to communication methods that offer increased stability and application integration.
“We are very pleased with the direction of the RNA interface. The new interface offered with Helix incorporates features that will increase the pharmacy’s return on investment by providing a seamless integration with advanced features like instant order lookup as well as increasing the data transferred between our systems,” said Louie Foster, Integra’s Director of Product Management.
”We are delighted to be able to offer this enhanced interface to our mutual customers. We expect pharmacies to see improved operational efficiencies through the use of this enhanced interface in conjunction with our new Helix Pharmacy Management System,” said Gary Schoettmer, RNA’s President and CEO.
Coding has been completed and the interface will be in the next beta release of Helix which is expected out in the next two to three weeks.
Current RNA customers using the DocuTrack system that would like to take advantage of this enhanced interface will need to contact RNA in order to upgrade to the new Helix platform. RNA can be reached at (800) 762-9378 and Web information is below.
