Carson City, NV — August 15, 2009 – Integra NV, Inc. and SoftWriters, Inc. have added enhanced capability to the existing interface between Integra’s workflow and document management software, DocuTrack, and SoftWriters’ pharmacy information system, FrameworkLTC®. Additional fields have been added allowing for more information to be accessed when automatically populating electronic forms.
Integra partnered with SoftWriters over four years ago to create an interface that would make DocuTrack available to FrameworkLTC customers. “After recent DEA actions in this industry, many pharmacies have had to increase staff to handle, track and process CII related forms. This new interface enhancement will allow these pharmacies to completely fill out many CII forms. They can also fax, track and ultimately reduce the amount of work required to stay on top of these new processes with DocuTrack’s dynamic bar coding and fax features,” said Louie Foster, Integra’s Director of Product Management.
One of DocuTrack’s key features is the ability to create electronic forms specific to each pharmacy. Some commonly used forms in pharmacies include telephone orders, billing invoices, refill authorizations, medication reviews, new admissions, CII forms and many others. Electronic forms allow pharmacies to reduce paper, increase form accessibility and reduce the time needed to fax these forms out as they can be faxed directly out of DocuTrack.
One additional benefit these forms provide is automatic form fill-in. Through the use of pre-set fields users are able have key information automatically populated into their electronic forms. Until now, the FrameworkLTC interface to Integra limited these forms to ten items per association type.
“With this interface enhancement we have allowed for many additional fields across multiple association types,” said Tim Hutchison, President and CEO of SoftWriters, Inc. “This added functionality will allow FrameworkLTC/DocuTrack customers to operate with greater efficiency. Those efficiencies translate into time saved in pharmacy operations and pass directly to the bottom line.”
This interface is expected to release in early September and will be available to Integra customers on DocuTrack Version 4.4. For more information please contact Softwriters and Integra Support.
